It's hard to believe..... only a year ago we started with one car and an open trailer, and now we have grown to this! With the love, support, and help of many, we have expanded our racing program to continue our "Race for a Cause" campaign. Our show car has allowed us to attend numerous shows in an effort to spread awarness. Our program is truely a family affair! Mom (Terrie Camenga) is in charge of logistics and merchandise, Dad (Wade Camenga) master fabricator, mechanic, crew and all of the above, Dana Camenga is the driver and mechanic, Derrick Camenga is our welder and fabricator, Devon Camenga is the web and facebook designer (and wanna be driver!). Together we have invested in this hobby that we love for the enjoyment of racing, spending time as a family, and spreading awarness of Dwarfism. In addition to what we have in the pic, we are currently working on another car that will run part time the second half of the season (see pics below and on our facebook page). We appreciate all of our sponsors, family members, and friends who have helped our racing program a success! We look forward to marketing your business, and giving you someone to cheer for at the races. Thanks again for all your support! See you at the races!
Night at Gilligan's
It was a beautiful night on Wed. 5/1 as Camenga Racing ventured down to Gilligan's restuarant for some great food and to meet with old friends. It was also Bike Night as the crowds poured in to view the bikes, the car, and have some of their famous ice-cream. We had a great time and look forward to returning a few times this summer. Thanks to Gilligan's for all that they do for us!
Dana finishes 7th on opening night at Utica Rome Speedway!
The racing season us under way, and it is sure to be an eventful one. With top prostock runners like Tom Denton, Bret Belden, Pete Stephenski, and Glen Forward (just to name a few) it is tough to finish in the top ten. Although it was cool, the racing was fast and furious. The track was in excellent shape and the track had 4 or 5 lanes to race in. Dana would begin the year starting 6th in his heat race. After a quick caution for a slowing car on the back stretch, Dana quickly found the bottom groove to his liking. On the last lap Dana would duck under Money for the third position sending his to the scales and the redraw.
For the feature, Dana would begin on the 4th row outside (8th) with all the top runners out front. At the drop of the Green, everyone shuffled for position and a little pushing and shoving persisted. Dana would run as high as 5th and as low as 10 throughout the race as the drivers jockyed for position each lap. The car would begin to fade away towards the end as it developed a slight push. In what seemed like a never ending feature event, Dana would cross the line 7th for his best feature finish in the prostock class. Congratulations to the team, and especially to Dad for working countless hours in the garage for the past month!
Camenga Racing ready for exciting 2013 season!

Sure to be some of the best racing in NY, Dana will look race with the pack in search of finishing in the top ten. With lots of new changes to our racing program, we are anxious to get underway. Our season is not only filled with racing action at Utica Rome Speedway, Fonda Speedway, and Rolling Wheels, we have numerous special events with our show car across New York State in an effort to help spread Dwarfism Awareness. A special thank you to all our sponsors this year who have helped Camenga Racing grow to new heights.
Our newest addition is not quite ready, however, in a few weeks Camenga Racing will be pulling into the track fielding two cars in the Pro stock division. Thanks to all who have supported us financially and spiritually. Hope to see you at the races!

Camenga Racing will begin our new season by attending the annual Motorsports Expo located in Syracuse, New York. We will once again be supporting our "race for a cause" banner for Understanding Dwarfism and LPA Mohawk Valley Chapter. Camenga Racing has added another car to its program that will run on a part time basis driven by Dana's brother, Devon Camenga. The team will run weekly at Uticarome Speedway, as well as special shows such as: Hondo Classic at Fonda Speedway, and special race held at Rolling Wheels to name a few.
As our team grows, so do our goals and expectations. Dana will join the stout competition in hopes to finsih in the top 10 in points and get a few top 5 finishes throughout the year. In the offseason, we have made some improvements to our motor program as well as updatee some racing equipment to ensure our performance. Judging by the race talk, the prostock class will be bigger and better at the famous Uticarome Speedway.
Be sure to keep checking our site for upcoming photos and upcoming events throughout the month as we continue to finialize our programs scheldule. Don't forget to like us on facebook! See you at the races!

11/5........Camenga Racing turns heads at LPA Regional in Saratoga Springs, NY!
A special thank you to Prolifiq Graphics for preparing our car! Thanks Kim and crew!
(Photo of new show car) Camenga racing pulled into Saratoga Springs, NY to celebrate the LPA Regional event. Despite all the devistation up and down the eastern coast, nearly 300 people came to visit, attend workshops, see phisicians, and enjoy the city. We were overwhelmed with the positive response and praise we received with our booth and car display. Many came to view, ask questions, and sit in our new car. Many we spoke to were unfamiliar with local racing and were very interested in learning more and even more eager to attend a racing event. Many representatives were so impressed, they were asking us to make trips to their special events! Thank you to Mowhawk Valley Chapter for inviting us. We had a wonderful time and experience.
We are very excited for the upcoming racing season as we anticipate more special events, and expanding our racing schedule to different tracks. We are currently in the process of putting next year's schedule of special appearances and racing events together. We'll see you at the races!
Update 10/15....... The new show car is finished and running. Camenga racing has been working frantically to get this car ready for LPA's regional in Saratoga, NY November 3rd. Final preporations were made this past weekend and the car was shipped out to Prolifiq graphics Monday morning. We are very excited for the upcoming event and proud to be apart of the Little People of America Community. The boys will be back in the garage preparing Dana's car with a new body and power plant, and the third car! Camenga racing is continuing its expansion as the popularity grows with the community, demand for exposure and awarness, and new and old sponsor support. Although the racing season is just about over, we are gearing up for an action packet 2013 season.
(more photos and info coming soon)
The 2012 racing season has come to an end for Camenga Racing. We were hoping to make a few special shows, but due to some extensive rear-end damage at the last race at Utica Rome, we are unable to repair the car in time. Dana finished 14th in points in his rookie seasons with lots of race notes and a full year of seat time under his belt. We look to next season with some new goals, newer equipment, and fielding two cars! Brother Devon Camenga will jump behind the wheel of his own car on a part time scheldule.
We would like to thank all our sponsors for their support this year. We look forward to working with you for the 2013 season as we continue to grow our racing program. Camenga Racing will also continue supporting Understanding Dwarfism and LPA Mohawk Valley Chapter for the 2013 season too. We were able to raise over $1,000 for the organizations. Camenga Racing will have a show car on display at numerous venues next season as we plan on making many special appearances across the northeast. Our first location will be at the Saratoga Hilton in Saratoga Springs, New York Saturday, November 3rd for LPA Mohawk Valley Chapter host their ragional. Nearly 500 people are expected to attend the event from the east coast. We will also attend the Syracuse car show with a new display and the new car. (More events and photos coming soon.) If you or your company is interested in marketing with Camenga Racing please contact Terrie Camenga at firstname.lastname@example.org or Devon Camenga at email@example.com . We have a package that will meet your needs! See you at the races!
Camenga finsihes 15th
The track was very slick this past sunday night and the crew battled with a bad push all night. Dana would come it to change tires to help the set up but would go a lap down in the process. The car worked much better after the changes and Dana would make is way up to 15th at the checkers. Come out this Sunday night for Utica Rome's final point night. Hope to see you at the races!
The kids had a blast this past weekend as they always do at the races. This weekend was extra special because both of them won a bike at the track's giveaway. Cool bikes!
Jingle causes Dana to finish 14th
Dana and dad would spend a lot of time in the shop this week looking to make improvements to the 110 prostock. Motor issues have plagued us with poor finishes the past few weeks and we were looking to fix them. With many changes, the car ran cooler and better! For the second week in a row, the track was super fast with times again in the low 80's. Dana would start the feature in the back of the pack, and as the green flag dropped, it was appparent that the boys came ready to beat and bang on eachother to get to the front of the pack. Dana would be a victim of a caution when another car hit a U-tire and send the car up the track heavily damaging the car. Dana would pit with a flat tire and head back out to the track. From there, Dana would pass as many cars as he could with the remaining laps bringging home a 14th place finish, again without power steering. The guys will once again be busy at the shop this week to make the car a little better with just 3 weeks remaining. Come out to see the Camenga Racing crew this Sunday night at Utica -Rome Speedway. Hope to see you at the races!
Camenga Racing Expands?
This year Camenga Racing began our "race for a cause" campaign for Understanding Dwarfism and Little People of America Mohawk Valley Chapter. We have had a tremendous response from our family, community, and sponsors. So much in fact, that we have expanded Camenga Racing by adding a show car. This will allow us to travel to more special shows throughout New York State. We have attended many show this year, and have been invited to many more for the 2013 racing season. With a growing interest and support for Camenga racing, we are excited for the 2013 racing season already. Some of next years highlights include; motorsports expo, Broadway Choppers "Ride with Pride" bike rally in the capital district, Pagent of Bands, Norwich Fairgrounds 4th of July event, and many others. We are excited about how fast we have grown in just 7 months, and are looking forward to the future. If you would like to join the Camenga Racing expansion, please contact Devon C. Camenga at firstname.lastname@example.org or Terrie Camenga at email@example.com for more details and marketing packages. (photos coming soon!)
This past Sunday night was a busy one for the Camenga racing crew. It was autograph night and Dana met a lot of new fans and signed lots of autographs. We also had a booth set up in an effort to raise money for LPA and Understanding Dwarfism. A special thank you goes out to Gene Cole (track owner), Barb Clark (operations), Matt Burdick (announcer), and everyone at Utica-Rome speedway for contributing to our cause.
The Weissers also come out to watch Dana race. The boys were treated to a trip to the press box were they were interviewed by the track announcer. They were broadcast-ed over the loud speaker. The boys and families had a great time and we can't think Utica-Rome enough for all they have done for us.
As for the racing......Dana would finish 7th in the heat races and would start on the front row for the feature. At the drop of the green flag Dana would rocket to the lead and begin to pull away. After a quick caution, the field would bunch back up and on the restart they would go 4 wide coming off turn four. With no room Dana would get pinned up high and collide with another down the front stretch. Loosing power steering the car became more and more difficult to steer. Dana would fall back and hang on for 13th spot. We will be back in action next Sunday night at Utica-Rome speedway. See you at the races!
Uticarome Speedway..... The racing was fast and furious this past Sunday night as the racing program was complete by 9pm. The heat this week made the racing surface dry and slick. By feature time, the track had lost most of its grip making it difficult to pass. Dana would start on the front row for the feature and slowly slip back to 8th. About half way through, the track would just go away for Dana and drifted back to 12th where he would finish. Finally, the car was loaded with no problems, making very little work to do in the garage this week. Perhaps they can work on the second car!(More to come about that at the end of the season)
Fonda Speedway.....It was a hot night of racing at Fonda last night as over 30 prostocks from across the northeast came to race in the Hondo Classic. We were excited that after the first heat, Dana qualified for the main event. He would start 16th in a field of 26. Dana said the car felt great, and managed to bring home a wopping 12th place finish in this star filled field. A special thank you goes out to our mom and dad who have done a lot of traveling the past few weeks. We thank you for your love and support. We also would like to thank Gilligan's for supporting us this year and allowing us to travel to these special shows. Dana liked the tracks so much, we may just go back at the end of the season!
Up next.....a busy week as Dana will be at Utica Rome speedway tonight, then again on Thursday for the midweek show, and again on Sunday for autograph night. Look for the Camenga Racing booth by the photo hut next Sunday night. We will be selling raffel tickets to win ROC Tickets, gift baskets, and other merchandise. All proceeds go to Understanding Dwarfism and LPA Mohawk Valley Chapter.
Rolling Wheels....Dana had a blast racing at Rolling Wheels this past week. The night was adventurous to say the least. In the warm ups, he broke a rear shock mount, then ran strong during the heats. Dana would start 20th (dead last). At the drop of the green Dana began making his way through the large pack. Dana said it was the fastest he ever drove in the car. Coming down the front stretch, two cars got together and one climbed the front wall sending it airborne and over the right front of Dana's car. With a lot of sheet metal damage, Dana polled pit side to remove the right side and hood. Then he returned to the racing surface, perhaps with a little rage. At the drop of the checkered flag Dana would finish 11th.
Dana will make his way to Fonda Speedway tonight for the Hondo Classic. Then will head back to Utica Rome tomorrow night.
More info and pics. to come soon (web creator on vacation).

Night at Gilligans Camenga made another trip to Gilligans this past Monday night for some fun and sun. We met with lots of new and old racing fans who came out to enjoy Gilligan's fabulous ice-cream, and support dwarfism awarness. Thanks again to the owners and staff at Gilligan's resturant for having us! Tickets are still on sale to win auction baskets that include (but not limited to) Race of Champion tickets to Utica Rome Speedway, tee and sweatshirts,

Night at Gilligans!
This past Monday, Camenga Racing visited Gilligan's in downtown Sherburne. Although it was a bit on the cold side, that did not stop people from coming out to look at the new car and help us raise money for Dwarfism Awarness. We would like to thank the owners of Gilligan's, Andy and Mike, and their staff for hosting and supporting our efforts to raise awarness of dwarfism. Camenga Racing was able to raise over $200! Thank you to all who supported us.

The new year brought new ideas, and changes for the Camenga Racing program! Dana will be racing at Utica Rome Speedway in the pro stock division! We have purchased a car and will be here this weekend. In addition to our current sponsors, Dana will be racing for Dwarfism Awarness. Dwarfism is a skeletal desplasia that effects 1 in 10,000 children. There are over 200 different forms of dwarfism. Dana's nephew, Seamus Camenga, has achondroplasia which is the most common form of dwarfism. Most people are familiar with the term "Little People" as in the show, "Little People Big World." We are currently working on a design for the car, and it will be on display at the Motorsports Expo on March 10 in Syracuse.
Understand Dwarfism, an education program, provides literatre and speakers to local communities. LPA Mohawk Valley Chapter is Seamus' local chapter. The non for profit organiszation is currently raising money to host a LPA Regional in the Fall for nearly 5,000 people. Camenga Racing will be selling stickers, wrist bands, and t shirts for these two organizations at all special appearances, and at the track.
